Mahogany, Swietenia macrophylla, is a popular choice for many luthiers and woodworkers alike. It is extremely durable, stable and resists warping.
These Neck Blanks are all buildable and structurally sound material, however, they have defects that affect only part of the blank and/or the defect is out of pattern. These defects can include worm holes, knots or run out. Please see pictures for examples.
