Working Properties:
The wood is easy to work. The rays tend to crumble if care is not given while machining. Takes a finish satisfactorily.

General Characteristics:
Pale pink to pinkish brown with silvery sheen. Texture is coarse and grain is straight. Quarter sawn produces a prominent flaky grain pattern.

Uses:
Cabinetry, furniture, paneling, and trim

Acceptable Substitutes:
Quarter sawn Sycamore, Quarter sawn White Oak, Plantation Lacewood
