Working Properties:
Easy to machine with all tools, finishing very smoothly but there may be some fuzzy grain.

General Characteristics:
Heartwood yellow to orange, typically variegated, sometimes "rainbow hued", texture medium, grain straight to irregular, medium to high luster.

Uses:
Boat building, turnery, decorative veneers, cooperage, furniture and cabinetry, flooring, heavy construction, railroad crossties.
