WHOLE LOGS FOR SALE

 

We have processed two figured Honduras Mahogany logs into back/side sets.

 

Log #1 has an intense beeswing figure it produced 40 dreadnought and larger sets as well as approximately 40 1 x 3 x 30 neck blanks, we say approxmately becasue the neck stock is in the kiln until Novemeber 22nd and has not been completely processed. The sets are to be sold as a package, which affords the builder the opportunity to offer a "limited run" of special instruments.

Log #2 has a fiddleback/flame figure, although not real strong it is full width of the backs and pretty consistent throughout the log. It produced 66 back sets and 56 side sets, this will allow a builder to make 10 guitars with Mahogany tops/backs/sides. The neck stock in the kiln will produce approximately 50 necks 1 x 3 x 30. These sets will also be sold as a package to allow the builder to offer a s special run of instruments.

 

Log #1 with the neck stock is $8000 - Without the neck stock is $7600

Log #2 with the neck stock is $12,200 - Without the neck stock $11,590
